Hello world: We’ve got big news! On May 5th, we proudly welcomed grocery-ready hummus to the Little Sesame family.
Our hummus journey goes way back to 2016, when we opened in a 500 square foot basement space in Dupont Circle. Ronen & Nick who met as line cooks a decade before in NYC joined forces to make the best hummus - the everyday, rich, satisfying meal Ronen grew up eating in Tivon, Israel. Over the past four years we have refined this recipe, and we couldn’t be more proud to welcome our new hummus to the world.
Today, we are excited to share our Smooth Classic Hummus, a marriage of organic Kabuli chickpeas grown exclusively for us by farmer Casey Bailey and rich tahini, garlic and fresh lemon juice that we spin in small batches in our shops. This is the hummus you’ve known and loved for years at Little Sesame.
We’ve got some new additions too: our new Caramelized Onion Hummus and Jammy Tomato Hummus. Both flavors are inspired by recipes we’ve developed at our shops. We’ve upped the flavor-to-hummus ratio compared to most store bought hummus so it’s more like the experience you’ve always had at Little Sesame.
Tiny but mighty, chickpeas are at the heart of all we do: serving up food that is good for you and good for the planet.
The trio of grocery-ready flavors can be found at Little Sesame shops starting Monday, May 10th.
