At Little Sesame we utilize Earth month to connect the dots between the food we put on our plate and the impact those choices have on our health, the environment and the climate. As the flagship event of our Earth Month celebration, we held our 3rd Annual Earth Day 5K at 10:00am on Saturday, April 23rd. We partnered with Pacers for a route that went both in and out of their Navy Yard location, mainly along the Anacostia River Trail. Hundreds of people from across the city joined us to #run4motherearth. A portion of the proceeds went to support our local non-profit beneficiary: Casey Trees, whose ongoing mission is to grow the tree canopy in the nation's capital region. Mark your calendars, next year’s 5K will be at 10:00am on Saturday, April 22, 2023!
