Our Story

We're Little Sesame.

We Set out to BuilD Something Different - To Serve food that's good for you, and good for the planet.

We met as line cooks on the fine dining circuit, but we wanted to reach a wider community. So, on a freezing cold day in January 2016, we opened the first Little Sesame in a 500 square foot basement.

Since then we’ve built shops, hit the road, launched in Whole Foods Markets and hosted dinners, pop ups, and amazing collaborations, all with a commitment to growing the Little Sesame family by putting hummus at the center of the table.

We apply our
DO-IT-FOR-the-next-gen,
QUALITY-OVER-EVERYTHING
ATTITUDE to every part
of OUR BUSINESS.

We are committed to building a HEALTHIER PLANET for the next generation. We want to make hummus the everyday plant-based protein and believe that growing, cooking, and eating climate-friendly food is the best way we can care for our planet

We partner with people who share our values to GROW SUSTAINABLY together, like Casey Bailey, a fifth-generation Montana farmer and regenerative agriculture pioneer who grows all our chickpeas.

We invest in our COMMUNITY. During the pandemic, we launched Meals for the City which provided 100,000 emergency meals to our neighbors in need. Taking care of people is hardwired into our business and we pledge to continue doing good in the world.
