2021 is over?! Time flies when you’re having fun. And still being chased by the storm. Or digging out from under the rock. Whatever analogy you want - it was another wild year. We couldn’t have done it without our team who always step up to get it done. And to all of you, for showing up to support us every step of the way.
We launched our Sugar Fox pop up the infamous night of January 6th. Fortunately, that was not a harbinger of what was to come. We crushed it there, selling out almost every night. So much so that we decided to find a permanent home just a couple miles away in Bethesda, which we’re so excited to open in 2022.
We had so many successful partnerships throughout the year: a sweet collab bagel with Call Your Mother, stocked community fridges with Feed the Fridge, hosted a dinner with Dolcezza Gelato, Salt & Sundry and Blue Ribbon Flowers, and pulled up to The Girl & The Vine and Department of Beer & Wine for neighborhood delivery drops.
Then in May came the biggest milestone of the year: we launched our grocery-ready hummus at Whole Foods Market, plus Foxtrot Market, 4P Foods and under the tents at Central Farm Markets. You all cleared the shelves over and over again. And we’re going to double down on this in 2022 with more stores and more flavors.
Last but not least, we launched our fresh new look. Brands evolve over time. When we opened in a 500 sq ft basement back in 2016 we didn't anticipate the road ahead. This year, we wanted to create a new brand that reflected where we stand today and mark our ambition to bring really good hummus, that’s good for you and good for the planet to as many people as possible.
